Food POI writes: This post is back dated from Jan 1st, 2010 where I celebrate the new year with my house mates on a food journey to east coast. We went to Kuantan (Pahang) > Kuala Terengganu (Terengganu) > Kota Bahru (Kelantan) > Sungai Golok (Narathiwat Province, Thailand). I decide to write from the last stop Sungai Golok under Narathiwat Province rather than the starting point as it is rather disappointing with the local foods. We actually drive all the way in to the border town with my house mate’s car. You can drive you car there provided you go through all this stuff : Bring your car pink slip. Make sure the name of the pink slip is ...

Food POI writes: When you are heading down to Melaka for a weekend trip. Obviously you will be having chicken rice for breakfast on your first day. How about the second day? You will for sure want to try something else. On my last weekend escapade to Melaka, I went and checkout this place called Yong Moh Coffee Stall which recommended by my friend. Located along the narrow Jalan Tukang Emas, or Blacksmith Street, adjacent to Jonker Walk and opposite the 17th Century Kampung Kling Mosque, this is a typical coffee shop currently managed by the third generation of the Low family. It serves one of the best and most value-for-money meat buns accompanied by ...

Food POI writes: The night still early after we had our Asam Pedas at Hajjah Mona’s. We moved on to Pak Putra’s Restoran which famous for their Tandoori Chicken and fluffy Nan bread. Most of the staff are from the punjabi race from their slang. The restaurant is located down the road from Hajjah Mona’s restaurant which about 300 meters away. The chicken is marinated in yogurt and seasoned with tandoori masala. It is moderately hot, but the heat is reduced in most Western nations. Cayenne pepper, red chili powder or kashmiri red chilli powder is used to give it a fiery red hue. ...

It is located next to Empire Furniture, opposite Ampang Point and next to Galeri Guitar within a Malay hawker stall area. The tandoori chicken only available from 7pm onwards and they sell daily. A perfect place for buka puasa location for the current fasting month. Red hot charcoal cooking the well marinated tandoori chicken All ...

Food POI writes: I am a sucker for good sandwiches. 3 days in a week, I am having Subway breakfast set to start off my day. Some more it is so near to the place where I stay. Subway is famous for their freshly baked breads and their line of fresh vege and processed meats. Everything changed when I sink my teeth on O’Brien Sandwiches. Though their breads are different compared to Subway, the choice of sauces and condiments are more too. Not fond of bread? Checkout the pastries corner. You can fill the croisant up with all the fillings too. Only natural ...
