boo_licious writes: Soft KaniMaki (RM36++)We had lots of fun last Friday - another Floggers get-together. This time, it was a big big party for Christmas at My Elephant by Doodee at Section 17, Petaling Jaya. I was late hence by the time I got there, all I had was bits and pieces of food served. I didn't get to mingle much too (very sorry people!) as I was sitting at the non food blogger's table plus when I started mingling, I realised I kinda lost my voice with all the shouting I had to do to be heard. Sigh! Apologies to those who were there, whom I didn't meet. Special thanks to Lyrical Lemongrass, Precious Pea and ... read more

boo_licious writes: I love these teeny weeny bites. Oozing with sinful durian cream, one bite is never enough. Luckily the shop seems to know it, as they sell them in packs of 4 pieces for 60 sens each (RM2.40 per pack). Encased in a plastic sandwich box, everyone loves these puffs. I once brought them to a King Crab dinner and the guys - tankiasu, Jackson and Jason gave their thumbs up.The bakery also sells various pastries - egg tarts, durian tarts, durian swiss roll, pineapple tarts, sandwiches and etc. Getting here is okay if you take the LRT but if you're driving past to just pack a few, there's no ... read more

teckiee writes: Of all places at Pavilion KL, we all ate at Wong Kok Char Chan Teng. When my colleagues suggested the place I went "Harrrr why there? Nothing better to eat already meh?" in my head. Sorry folks I'm not a fan of Wong Kok.. at all. But, better not complain so much lah hehe because if it's your birthday, and you have at least six person with you, (I am sure the bill will come way over RM30) the birthday person is entitled a huge bucket of iced milk tea.I tell you, that's a really huge bucket because it was enough tea to for nine of us! ... read more

boo_licious writes: Braised Peanuts When it comes to Crystal Jade's restaurants, my whole family are great fans. They regularly dine at the Singapore and China outlets till they have their favourites. Recently, with the opening of the two new malls, The Gardens and Pavilion, Crystal Jade has been expanding. To add to their existing outlets - Crystal Jade Lai Mian at Lot 10 and C-Jade Express in Mid Valley Megamall, they now have Crystal Jade Kitchen and C Jade Meal Cube at Pavilion and Crystal Jade Restaurant at the Gardens. Steamed Spinach with Garlic Dumpling (RM7++) Each new outlet has slight variations - the Crystal Jade Meal Cube is said to serve Western food while the Crystal Jade Kitchen ... read more

boo_licious writes: Swish Swish...Recently, there has been an increase in new places to dine that I am slowly trying each outlet one by one. One such place in Petaling Jaya is Jaya 33 which combines an office tower and dining at the lower levels. What's good about dining here is parking is a breeze compared to the nearby Jaya Shopping Centre area which is forever packed. Assorted Vegetables To date we have only tried Oriental Pavilion which is part of the Noble House group, Cozy Corner (a branch from Ampang Park) and this place, Nagomi which serves shabu shabu and Japanese sushi and sashimi items. The owners also own another Japanese restaurant at Tropicana Golf and Country Club.... read more

boo_licious writes: I hate to dissapoint all of you regular readers BUT this week marks the start of certain changes to the blogging schedule. Due to certain commitments, I won't be blogging as regularly i.e. not on a daily basis. However even though it is not on a daily basis don't worry as you will still get to see me blogging each week. Am not too sure what kind of schedule I am comfortable with but I'll try and adjust accordingly. Hence, do hang on tightly still and keep checking the blog for updates...... This week should see today's post on Yo! Sushi, the new kaiten place in Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur (next blog post beneath!). Other things to look ... read more

boo_licious writes: Yo! Sushi Signboard This weekend we decided to step into Yo! Sushi, the latest import from the British shores to our country. Serving kaiten sushi or sushi on a conveyor belt, I had read not "too hot" reviews from several blogs about this place. General consensus seems to be - "too pricey" especially when compared to local established kaiten sushi places such as Sushi King, Sakae Sushi and Sushi Zanmai. Yo! Sushi Interior Yo! Sushi's concept kinda reminds me of Wagamama which never did make it to our shores but was instead copied all over town in several noodle spin offs. In the UK, it has built a brand for themselves with outlets everywhere and even a ... read more

Lyrical Lemongrass writes: It was one of those spontaneous moments when JFKA wannabe, Nipples, asked me to join him for dinner at the latest mall in town and I said yes. I wanted to eat at Kampachi, and he didn't mind eating at Kampachi again, so it was an easy decision to make. After all, I never say no to Japanese food. Getting a table wasn't very difficult on a weekday night, but we chose to sit at the sushi bar instead, hoping to catch a glimpse of some of the action behind ... read more

Thanks to those who have voted. The videos should be up for a week so get going with your votes and watching the videos. With the long break, we did some exploring at Pavilion last week. Just opened last Wednesday, Food Republic is a food court which hails from Singapore. On the day it opened, there was quite a commotion at one of the stalls which saw a three foot snake drop by. Not sure how the snake ended up there (it seems it dropped from the signages ... read more
